It helps us to keep our administrative costs down to the lowest level possible, so that nearly all donations are used to sponsor the maximum number of events. We promise to make this as rewarding as possible. (Check out the testimonials from our other volunteers.)

Using the glossary below, list which areas you would be willing to provide your time and talents. Please let us know if there is anything in particular about your experience that we should know.

This is the Glossary of Volunteer Areas we need most; however, if you have a specialty differing from what is listed here that you feel would help the Front Row Foundation, please let us know what that might be.

Video Creation – After each front row experience, we aim to assemble the video footage and photographs, often set to music, and maybe a few quotes added in, in order to create a short 2-3 minute video for the recipient and their families. If you have the skills needed to create short videos, we need your help! These videos can be easily created on a MAC computer using their video editing software. Time to complete one video is approximately 3-5 hours.

Photo Album –If you have experience using Mac’s photo album system, then you can help assemble a book for our recipients following their events. This is a beautiful 10 page hardbound book which serves as a photo album displaying the incredible pictures from the event along with captions telling the story of their once-in-a-lifetime front row experience. Having a Mac computer is needed for this volunteer task. Time to complete one book is approximately 2-4 hours.

Graphic Design – Front Row is always looking for promotional materials and website design to promote our mission to our recipients, sponsors and fundraisers.

Copy writer – We need help writing announcements, newsletters, website text, etc. Individuals volunteering for this will write, edit and revise previously written materials.

Fundraising – We are always looking for individuals to participate in the annual Front Row walk/run. Usually our participants join a local run team and raise money through our www.firstgiving.com/frontrow website.

Board of Directors – This group is made up of ten individuals who meet in person five times per year in the Virginia Beach area. They oversee aspects of the foundation relating to policy change, fundraising plans, financial review and other key areas.

Advisory Board – This group is made up of ten individuals throughout the US and Canada . They gather for conference calls six times per year to discuss issues and advise the Board of Director on programs, policies and strategies for improving the foundation.

Web Programmer – Uploading, making changes to or building our Front Row website.

Event Planning – These individuals help create various fundraisers.

Event Coordinator – This person helps to create a Front Row experience for a recipient and their family.

Ticket Connections – We always appreciate knowing individuals who have access to front row tickets or know people that have access to front row tickets

Publicity – Front Row always appreciates positive exposure in newspaper, television or other media sources. We would gratefully accept help from individuals who have connections relating to publicity.
